	wow what a downpour

to look at the satellite and radar seems like a small thin cold front just ending here at the bay islands. we got a few hours of heavy pouring rain with thunder. fabulous. needed that. rg

On my way to my office to batten down the hatches. looks like we are a few hours away from a large band of rain. i know ida is supposed to pass us to the east but we still need to be prepared for some very heavy rain. right now it just stopped raining and is absolutely still. a little creepy. anyway, be back on in an hour or so. rg

	Finally RAIN!!

Normally here on Roatan we start getting thunder storms in august and they get heavier and more often in september. by october its pouring a lot... not to mention a few tropical storms bruishing the coast every year. this year we got maybe a total of 1/2" of rain in 3 months... starting to look a little parched here.. but saturday it started raining and hasn't stopped yet. filling up those cisterns and repleneshing those wells...is this all thanks to la nina?
