Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 9:26 PM CST on November 11, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST Thursday...
The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST Thursday.
Areas of dense fog have developed across portions of the southeast
Texas Panhandle and northern rolling plains late this evening.
This fog is expected to continue expanding throughout much of the
rolling plains and onto the eastern edge of The Caprock overnight.
Visibilities in these areas may be reduced to less than one quarter
of a mile at times. Fog conditions will improve late Thursday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
avoid using your high beams... and leave plenty of distance between
yourself and vehicles in front of you.
