The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a
* Flood Watch for a portion of eastern North Carolina... including
the following areas... Beaufort... Carteret... Craven...
Duplin... Greene... Jones... Lenoir... Martin... Mainland
Dare... Mainland Hyde... Onslow... Pamlico... Pitt... Tyrrell and
Washington.
* From Wednesday morning through late Thursday night.
* Widespread rain will develop later tonight and early
Wednesday... then continue into Thursday night as low pressure
moves slowly northeast off the southeast coast. Total rainfall
amounts are expected to range from 4 to 7 inches... and this will
likely lead to significant runoff... with flooding of low lying
and poor drainage areas possible.
