Fourth coldest 4th of July on record at Lincoln... The high temperature today at Norfolk was 69 degrees... which is the coldest high temperature on record for July 4. The previous record of 70 degrees was set in 1915 and tied in 1972. The high temperature today at Omaha was 70 degrees... which is the second coldest high temperature on record for July 4 and the coldest reading since 1997. The record of 67 degrees was set in 1915. The previous second coldest reading of 73 degrees was reached in 1872... 1891... 1972... and 1997. The high temperature today at Lincoln was 74 degrees... which ties for the fourth coldest high temperature on record for July 4... a reading also reached in 1967.
